This web site exists for one reason and one reason only: to act as a vehicle on which I can shamelessly plug my play writing. After having my first play (a full-length effort called “The Other Side of the Sky”) published, I rapidly came to the conclusion that the act of publishing in itself is not enough. If you want anyone to take an interest in your writing you have to promote it, hence this web site. Why “Modern Plays”? Well, that’s what I’ve written, and that’s what I intend to write in the future. Accessible plays that I hope sit comfortably in the here and now.
As far as this web site goes, you’ll find it’s a pretty lean affair at the moment – just one play I’m afraid! I do, however, plan to do more of this sort of thing when I can make the time to do it (other things always seem to get in the way). There are ideas bubbling up, but that’s as far as it goes for now. In time, this site may also develop to include other authors if the format works.
If you like what you find here and you want to see more, then I suggest that you watch this space – just don’t hold your breath while you’re doing so!
